Barbara Edwards Contemporary, Toronto is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by Tyler Bright Hilton. The exhibition will feature works from the first and second installments of a 3-part narrative series of etchings and drawings: Minmei Madelynne Pryor Went into the Dryer and Minmei Madelynne Pryor on the Trail of a Liar. The series explores anxiety and adolescent self-identity, emphasizing themes of overwhelming solipsism, escapism and bodily alienation.
Tyler Bright Hilton received an MFA from the Chelsea College of Art and Design (London, UK) in 2008. His work has been shown in exhibitions nationally and internationally including the Liverpool Biennale (2008), Papier15, Montreal; Slick Dessin, Paris; Aqua Art, Miami; The Knin Fortress, Croatia; and the Drawing Room, London. His work is held in numerous private and public institutions, including Musée des beaux-arts, Montreal; and The Archive of Modern Conflict, London UK.
He currently lives and works in Toronto, Ontario.
