is pleased to present Alexander Neef, General Director of the Canadian Opera Company in conversation with art critic and writer, Sarah Milroy on William Kentridge's "Nose" Series based on the opera of the same name by Dmitri Shostakovich.

A former editor of Canadian Art, Sarah Milroy is a prolific art critic who has interviewed many artists and written for a wide variety of journals, magazines, and newspapers, including The National Post and the Globe and Mail.

Alexander Neef is the General Director of the Canadian Opera Company. He served as Director of Casting for Opéra National de Paris where he was instrumental in the production of over 80 operas. Mr. Neef has also served as a member of the artistic administration at the RuhrTriennale, a three-year, multi-disciplinary festival in the Ruhr region of Germany and spent two seasons as production manager at the Salzburg Festival.

This conversation promises to offer a cross-disciplinary insight into the work of William Kentridge.
